カリフォルニアの予防接種

カリフォルニア州では、幼稚園や小・中・高校などに入るさいに、予防接種をしたことを証明する記録の提出が求められています。
詳しい事や、わからないことは、現地にて専門家に確認をするようにしてください。

ポリオ　Polio

最低3回。4歳の前に3回目の注射をし終わっていなければ、追加が1回必要。

ジフテリア、破傷風、百日咳　
DPT - Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

a)　6歳以下の子どもに4回の接種が必要。
　　もしも4歳になる前に4回目を接種していなければ、一回分の接種が必要。

b)　7歳以上の子どもは、ＤＰＴ，ＤＴ、Ｔｄのいずれかの組み合わせの接種を3回することが必要。
　　もしも最後の接種が2歳前までに行われていれば、Ｔｄ　が1回だけ必要。
　　7歳の誕生日以降は、百日咳の予防接種は不要。

ＤＴ＝ジフテリアと破傷風　　　Ｔｄ＝diphtheria　ジフテリア

c)　7年生においては、ジフテリアの追加接種は、最後にＤＴＰ．ＤＴ，Ｔｄを接種してから5年経っているのであれば、必要ではないが、奨励されている。

はしか、風疹、おたふく風邪
Measles (Rubeola), Rubella (German Measles) and Mumps

　　キンダーガーデン入園のためには、ＭＭＲの接種が2回必要。
　　ＭＭＲ2回は、1歳の誕生日以降に行わなければならない。

a) 1年生の誕生日の日から6年生までの間に、ＭＭＲを1回接種する事。
　　その後のＭＭＲの追加は、奨励されるが、必ず接種しなければならないものではない。

b)　7年生の誕生日以降、7年生の間に2回、接種が必要。
　　おたふく風邪のワクチンは、7年生以上は必要とされていない。

Ｂ型肝炎Hepatitis B

a)　キンダーガーデン入園のためには、3回の接種が必要。

b)　7年生のときに3回の接種が必要。

水疱（みずぼうそう）Varicella (Chickenpox)

a) 1歳の誕生日以降、接種1回が必要。

b) 州外から来た場合、1年生から12年生の間に、13歳より下なら1回、13歳の誕生日以降の場合は2回すること。

California law requires that each student entering school for the first time provide written evidence, unless an exemption is signed, that he or she has been immunized.

The evidence must show the month and year that each immuniza-tion was received. Since July 1999, California law also requires specific immunizations prior to entering the seventh grade.

Students need the following immunizations:

Polio - At least three doses, unless the last dose was given before the fourth birthday, in which case one additional dose is required.

DPT - Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

a. Children six years of age and younger need four doses, but if the last dose was given before age four, another dose is required.

b. Children seven years of age and older need three doses of any combination of DPT, DT or Td, but if the last dose was given before age two, one more dose of Td is required. Pertussis (P) is not required after the seventh birthday.

c. For seventh grade, effective July 1999, 1 dose Td booster, not required but recommended if more than five years have passed since last DTP, DT or Td dose.

Measles (Rubeola), Rubella (German Measles) and Mumps

For entering kindergarten, two doses of MMR are required. Both doses of MMR must be on or after the first birthday.

a. For grades one to six, one dose of MMR, on or after the first birthday. An additional dose of MMR is re-commended, but not required.

b. For grade seven, two doses, both on or after first birthday. Mumps vaccine is not required for children aged seven or older.

Hepatitis B

a. Three doses are required for kindergarten entry.

b. Three doses are required for seventh grade

Varicella (Chickenpox) effective July 1, 2001

a. 1 dose on or after first birthday.

b. Out of state entrants, grades 1-12, 1 dose for children under 13 years, 2 doses if immunized on or after 13th birthday.

The Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP) requires that each pupil entering first grade have the “Certification of Physical Examination for Entry into Grade One” completed or a signed waiver, which may be obtained at the school.

This physical examination may be completed within six months prior to starting kindergarten, or within 90 days after beginning first grade. The family’s usual source of health care may be used to obtain this health examination screening.

CHDP providers offer the checkup and needed boosters free to lower income families.
